Here is what I am inspired by right now…

Foremost, my art exhibition “Ode to Joy” is on display at CultureVerse in Ann Arbor, Michigan until September 2024. The theme is “SEEK JOY IN EVERY SEASON”, we have seasons in nature, seasons in life and how to find those pockets of joy in every season. It’s been such a beautiful experience to curate my own art and figure out what paintings would speak about joy in seasons in the most eloquent and sometimes mysterious way. One of the most excited things is CultureVerse team helped me to add AR component to a few of my paintings. I always wanted to see my painting come to life and now some of them did! I hope you’ll get a chance to see the exhibit.

Still love to experiment with texture, but added oil and soft pastels, charcoal and other heavy body mediums plus collage. I realized that I mostly painted in pink or blue shades for the last year, and now I am more intentional with colors. I also wanted to share more of the small works I did on wood. Wood is such a fascinating surface to paint on.

I accidentally fell in love with painting on vintage music sheets earlier this year. I also borrowed an old typewriter from a friend, and now create art with colors, texture, music and poems. It’s such a joy, and it has been a beautiful point of conversation with people. I keep selling out all the ones I paint, but will be expanding it in new ways. I always have ideas I want to try. Also, still learning Japanese…. albeit very slowly…

And, still contemplating the whole idea of AI and art and creativity, as well as planning to start some version of a blog to write my thoughts on creativity, the intersection of technology and art… simply because writing will make me a better artist and a better person.
